O.W.I. (Bureau of Theatre) is all about subverting expectations. Whether it premieres of new plays or a new take on old stories, O.W.I. is your source for a constant channel of communication.
We are a registered 501(c)3 and a member company of the Residency Program at the Boston Center for the Arts, where we perform in the Plaza Theatre, The Black Box Theatre and in Nicholas Martin Hall.
O.W.I. originally formed in Los Angeles during Spring, 2004, with a core mission of providing an outlet for writers & actors seeking opportunities to showcase their work. That mission continues today in Boston.
To conduct an ongoing inquiry into the nature of theatre with new work. To test the practical limits of theatre with innovative storytelling. To subvert expectation in an audience by achieving the first two goals.
